A visit from Santa

This morning we went to the Christmas party for Ethans Daycare. There were lots of bikes to ride.

The face painting was VERY popular. Emma wasn't so sure about it at first and just got a butterfly on her hand.

But later went back for some butterflies on her face.

Ethan wanted to be a dinosaur.....

Advent

This was a gift from our wonderful kindergarten aide at the boys school. She has seen all three of my older boys go through kinder and will be there next year when Ethan starts. She makes one of these advent calendars every year for the school to include in our Christmas raffle and has always remembered Jacob being disappointed back in grade 1 at not getting one in the raffle..lol So she asked him to come see her today and gave us this one that she had made for us. Thank you Mrs. W!

There are 25 individual decorations to go on the tree

and they all fit in Santa's bag!

Summer

has begun!!! and bring it on I say. We had temps of 28C and 30C this weekend. The weather was fantastic. I am sooooooooooooooooooo a hot weather girl at heart which is ironic considering I grew up in Tasmania and then moved back here! We spent the last two days at the beach. I only took the camera for one day and it was the crappy point and shoot so excuse the bad quality..LOL The kids all had a ball and Emma keeps asking when we are going to the beach again..lol

Big kid.....

Other kids..... (lol)

Waiting for dad to get fish and chips for dinner, Jamie kindly kept Emma amused..lol

Emma and Ethan made a little "cubby house" on the deck with the outdoor chairs and some blankets and towels. It looked very cosy!

Greens Beach

On Saturday afternoon we decided to grab some fish and chips and head to the beach for tea. It was a little cool but that didn't seem to bother the Emma and Ethan who had fun running through the water. We checked out the rock pools and then headed home as the sun was setting. It was a nice evening.

Our very own rent a crowd

Little reader

She has taken a real interest in books lately and is always bringing us books to read to her or just sitting on her own reading to herself. I hope this is the start the same love of books that I have.

Horn

When we were little we use to pick the rose thorns and stick them to our noses to make little "horns", now my kids do the same thing.

Fractured

This is where Jamie and I spent 3 hours this afternoon (not bad for Sunday!)

Jamie took a trip over the handle bars of his bike, mid jump. The result is two fractures. One in his upper arm bone and the other up on his shoulder where the clavical meets the scapula.. or there abouts. Six weeks in a sling, no bike riding, no trampolining!
