well for a day .. We spent the day with friends on their bush block. It was very relaxing to sit back while the kids kept themselves entertained.

from a blogging hiatus.. actually its been a photography hiatus as well and I just can't blog without pictures ;) Life has been busier than normal here. Dh's mother has come to live with us indefinitely, so there was a week or two prepping for her arrival. I'm happy to say that she has fitted in nicely and I am welcoming the extra willing pair of hands to help with the kids and the day to day running of a house with 5 children in it!

Unfortunately busy has mean't no time for grabbing the camera (no to mention a distinct lack of inspiration!) Hopefully now things are settling down I can find some time to get back into it and maybe start to stretch myself a little creatively.

Going to have a little brag here (cos it's my blog and I can..lol) A friend sent me the link to a photography contest and urged me to enter (Thanks Kris!!). The contest is made up of 12 rounds and each round has 10 finalists and an overall winner for that round. Well I did entered this pic into round 8 and it was judged the overall winner. I win a digital point and shoot camera and go into another draw at the end of the competition for yet another camera (can never have too many cameras right??!). So that was my bit of excitement for the week! (Brag over)
