Its a cold, wet, windy day we are finding ways to amuse ourselves.

Kite Festival

Took the kids to the kite festival today. Was a lot of fun. Unfortunately the string broke on our kite and it blew 200m away into some grassy reeds that were 10 ft tall. Many thanks to the nice man that battled his way through the reeds to retrieved our kite for us.. seeing as he was already in there getting his kids kite as well...lol

Bike riding

Today Dh and I, Jacob, Ethan and Emma went for a bike ride around the Seaport. Ethan rode all the way there and back on his own bike for the first time!






We stopped and had some yummy hot chips.

I'm annoyed by this picture because 15mins before I took this one Dh and I were on our way back from the shops and there was not one but THREE rainbows side by side and I did NOT have my camera with me! Lesson learnt. So you get this less inspiring version from the bedroom window..lol

Yesterday we bought some pots and built a planter box. Today Ethan, Emma and I were off to the nursery and bought some strawberry plants and some petunia's and planted our pots.
